This book, while a stand alone- did not come off as a stand alone book. Having not read the previous in the romance series, I had a very jumbled time of figuring out what was going on in the other books. It seemed as though some scenes were overlapping from other books?

I liked the premise of instant love- turned second chance romance. Ophelia's parents were very irritating for me, and I found myself annoyed when they were in any scene. I wasn't particularly into hearing the name Fifi throughout the book- it reminded me of a dog and I just couldn't get behind it.

Overall this book wasn't a home run for me- I decided not to finish it around 52%

At that point steam level was around a 4.

Thank you netgalley and the publisher for the advanced readers copy.
