Wow, I just reread this book and - okay I didn’t forget how much I loved it- but I will say that I fell in love with it all over again. So much so that I loved Rex so much that I decided to forgive him (or his fictional parents) for his AWFUL name. (Honestly, his last name wasn’t any better). This is Penny Reid at her finest. Her writing style is conversational and witty. I’m shocked that I didn’t need this book to be in Dual POV, but that’s a testament to how good the writing was- I felt perfectly content with Abigail’s perspective. (Although, there is a bonus chapter in Rex’s perspective that you can download after you read the book). I feel like I could say a bajillion things about this book. But I will say that it will be a stand alone trilogy and I literally cannot wait for books 2 and 3. (Book two coming December 13 2022, and three coming in 2023). If you are a romance reader- you need to get this one ASAP. It’s $6 on kindle and worth every freaking penny. And feel free to get me the paperback version for $19… I’m worth it 😉
