First of all, I read this book like 4 years ago. Oh, it hasn’t been out for four years? Well, let’s just dramatically say that I’m WAY behind on reviews. But alas, with the rating I gave this one, I better darn well review it! Okay, I’ll stop using such sever language now…maybe.

5 out of 5 stars

steam level: 3-4?

Let’s talk about tropes because this one happens to be a favorite of mine…FAKE RELATIONSHIP! Do you know anyone in real life who pretends to be in a relationship with their friends? I do not. I’ve never heard of it, but that doesn’t mean I don’t enjoy reading about it!

This is a great pick-me-up read when you’re looking for it. It’ll help get you out of a bad mood and make you laugh.

Here, I’ll share a few quotes with you to prove my point:

  1. “Hurry up, we’re doing sunrise yoga.” Is this a joke?! What is it with everyone and sunrise yoga! What about midafternoon yoga, huh? What’s so great about the sunrise anyway?

  2. “So what are you going to do?” “Make him weep tears of regret.” “That sounds healthy.”

  3. Aiden and James were not alike. To compare them is to compare stale moldy bread to fresh-out-of-the-oven butter rolls. Sure, technically, they’re related. But barely.

See, I told you it’s witty.

Happy Reading!
